How Lua works
Speak. Get feedback. Keep the conversation going.
Lua is an AI language tutor built around spoken conversations. Practice something you actually want to say, get instant corrections and explanations, and put the feedback to use in your next reply.
A practice loop built around your own words
Choose a conversation that matters to you
Pick your language and a situation you want to rehearse, or talk about your day and interests. Start with a small goal, such as introducing yourself or explaining your weekend plans.
Say your answer out loud
Build your own sentence and speak to Lua. You are practicing the act of answering, including finding the words when it is your turn to talk.
Understand the feedback
Review corrections to what you said and open an explanation when you want to understand a change. Tap a word or phrase for a translation or mini-lesson right inside the conversation.
Listen and respond
Lua replies out loud so you can keep talking. Use a corrected phrase in your next answer, or revisit the same situation to practice expressing yourself again.
What learning from a correction looks like
Illustrative English practice example
You say: “Yesterday I go to a restaurant.”
A correction: “Yesterday I went to a restaurant.”
The explanation: “Yesterday” places the event in the past. The past tense of “go” is “went.”
Keep talking: Describe what you ate, who you went with, or what you would order next time.
This example explains the practice method; it is not a recording of an actual Lua session.
The useful part is the short distance between trying to say something and understanding how to say it. Your own conversation supplies the material to work on.
AI that supports the whole conversation
Lua brings speech recognition, AI conversation, language feedback and spoken replies into one learning experience. Corrections, translations and explanations stay close to the words you are practicing.
That makes Lua a useful fit when you want more opportunities to speak and a way to understand your mistakes as you go. If you already study vocabulary or take classes, you can use Lua to practice putting those words into a conversation.
